AMANDA LEIPUANANI ROBSON

Writer/Director

Of Hawaiian, Japanese and Puerto Rican heritage, and raised in Hawaiʻi, Amanda Robson honed her creative directing skills in Los Angeles’ stage and television industries for many years, working on such projects as Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance, ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, and world tours with top-tier pop artists, before returning to her island home of Maui, Hawaiʻi.

Amanda is the founder of FEAST, an arbiter of beautifully well-imagined events that bring together inspiring chefs, farms and makers in the local community; creating magical atmospheres with a deep reverence for the natural world.

Heartbroken by the tragic Lahaina Maui fires in 2023, and inspired by indigenous Hawaiian reverence for the health of the natural world, Amanda wanted to channel her capabilities as a creator and community organizer into a project that could be of service to Hawaiʻi and its people. This desire and passion has now come to fruition in her film directorial debut, a short documentary film entitled HAWAIʻI WATER CODE.
